The finished base .The pier was placed to make sure the bolts were in position for it to be bolted down securely .
The pier itself was made from steel and is 6" diameter with top and bottom plates welded on. The top has a second layer with four bolts in each corner to make levelling easy . The pier had a hole drilled in the top ready to put fine sand in to fill it up so as to dampen it in case of accidental knocking causing vibrations through the steel
